Welcome! Capitol Crimes is the Sacramento, California chapter of Sisters in Crimes, an international mystery writers organization. We offer networking, advice and support to mystery writers. Founded by double Anthony winner, Terris McMahan Grimes in 1996, we are authors, readers, publishers, agents, booksellers, librarians and fans bound by our affection for the mystery genre and our support of those who write mysteries.

We like to read. We like to write. And we like to enjoy ourselves and each other. Capitol Crimes typically meets each third Saturday from September - June for events that appeal to readers and writers alike. Meetings are open to the public.

Don’t be shy! Read on, and then consider becoming a member of Capitol Crimes.
